I'm Victoria E Armstrong — founder of 8th Chakra Reiki, and someone who never expected any of this to become my life's work.
For over 20 years I've practised Reiki and its principles, channelled 8th Chakra Reiki into being, and helped people I never planned on meeting find exactly what they needed, often in the most unexpected ways.
How It Began
The Session That Changed Everything
I met my Reiki teacher in the last place I expected to find one — I was teaching a book writing course, not looking for a spiritual awakening. She kept telling me I needed to experience a Reiki session for myself. I wasn't convinced. Eventually, mostly to stop her asking, I said yes.
That one session was all it took. I was sold.
"It was like my life went from black and white to full HD colour."
Almost overnight, I became more and more aware — of what was happening within me, and of what was happening around me. It genuinely felt like I had been asleep, and I had just woken up.
Where 8th Chakra Reiki Came From
A Download I Wasn't Expecting
Before I taught my very first Reiki Level I workshop, the 8th Chakra came to me during meditation. I was shown, clearly, that it was in alignment with the next level of vibration the planet was moving toward — and that this was something I was meant to bring through and share.
At the time, I went looking for more information online and found almost nothing. Today the amount of information available on the 8th Chakra is honestly mind boggling compared to back then. But my proof isn't something I found searching the internet — it's something I created myself, before any of that existed.
In 2017, I was guided in meditation to make a video: the 8th Chakra Activation. I put it on YouTube, not entirely sure why, just knowing I needed to.
Somehow, people have found that video ever since, in the most random ways, and it has helped them. That is always how Reiki — and everything connected to it — has worked for me. Something told me to put it out there and trust that anyone who needed me would find me. They always have.

Why I Believe In This So Much
I've used Reiki and its principles for over 20 years now. It has helped me through so much, and it has never once let me down.
Everyone who has come to me for help has walked away with what they needed, and usually more than they expected. I'm proud of myself for sticking with this work through the ups and downs — and that lived experience, more than anything, is why I believe in it as deeply as I do.
